The first real slap in my face was not being able to ride an amusement park ride with my son because I was over the weight limit and the bar would not close over me. I have struggled with being overweight my whole life. I stayed active during high school and gained a good bit of muscle, but did not keep that everyday activity up and then had two pregnancies and gained even more. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, PCOS and was pre-diabetic at only 30 years old.

I started researching weight loss surgery a couple of years ago but my health insurance at the time did not cover it. Our company was bought out last year and our insurance changed and I sought out Dr. Doucette immediately!

Dr. Doucette and his team are amazing. There is no judgement, only encouragement. The dietitians have helped me so much with substituting different foods/proteins to tailor them specifically to my needs. The front office staff is always helpful with adjusting schedules, purchasing supplements and handling the copays.

My husband is in the military and my number one goal was to be able to run and jump into his arms to give him a hug when he got home from duty, like I’d seen so many women do before. Now, I can not only do that but I can do his work outs with him. I can also keep up with all of my children and play as long as they want me to! I’m no longer pre-diabetic, my PCOS symptoms have improved and I’m no longer taking any medication for high blood pressure.
