Before surgery, my weight stopped me from doing things. I was embarrassed to lay out on the beach or be at the pool. On a trip to Mexico, I was unable to zip line with our group and I had to have special accommodations on some of our excursions.

I had went for a consult back in 2019, but put it off due to a divorce. I went back and forth with my decision. After that trip to Mexico I realized that my weight was holding me back and I was no longer willing to miss out on life because of my weight.

From the beginning to now, the whole team at Alabama Surgical Associates has been wonderful. They are readily available to answer questions and do what is needed to make this process as easy and comfortable as possible.

I love that I have the energy to go hiking! I was also able to go on a beautiful kayaking trip that would not have been possible before. Also, my feet and back feel so much better after losing weight!
