Parmesan Crusted Tilapia

This Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is a fast, flavorful weeknight dinner that checks all the right boxes — high protein, low fuss, and bariatric friendly. A savory seasoning base and golden, crispy parmesan crust make it feel like way more work than it actually is, and it’s endlessly adaptable with whatever spices you have on hand.
Ingredients:
- Tilapia filet (or other firm white fish)
- Braggs liquid aminos
- Sweet chili sauce – optional
- Smoked paprika
- Black pepper
- Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Individually sealed frozen filets are convenient and work well in this recipe. Start by placing the filet (no need to thaw ahead) in a nonstick oven-safe pan, drizzle with a little braggs liquid aminos or low sodium tamari, sprinkle with smoked paprika, black pepper and spoon a small amount of sweet chili sauce over the top. Cover the pan and cook on medium heat until the fish is just fork tender. Remove the lid, sprinkle lightly with parmesan cheese and place in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes until golden brown and crisp along the edges.
Serve with fresh lemon wedges if desired. Experiment with different seasonings: cajun, old bay, garlic powder, parsley, lemon pepper
