I had done well in the past, losing weight when I tried; however, I’ve never kept it off. I had severe psoriasis triggered by stress, gained 60 lbs from the steroids, and could not do anything for several months. I was diabetic. My A1C was 8.1, I am 5’4,” and my highest weight was 263. I took Metformin for diabetes, blood pressure medicine, and thyroid medication. I felt bad all the time, had zero energy, and my self-esteem was at an all-time low.

At six months post-op, my A1C is now 5.9. (Down from 8.1!) I no longer have to take diabetes medication or blood pressure medication!!! I had taken blood pressure medication for 12 years! My thyroid medication has been reduced.My energy level is so much higher, my back doesn’t hurt, and I can sleep through the night now!
